Kato Shigeaki born with an unknown intelligence, until he reached the age of 7, knowing this incredible knowledge of him, his parents let him focus on his study and nothing more, he’s fond of reading books, mostly fictional stories. He loves cats, but he’s allergic on them, but he had a pet dog named Nana.

Being a bookworm, he read about the Shinigamis, as a reader, he became interested about them, he knew they exist, no one believed him, because it was said that was only a superstition belief, if a person believed them, they’re insane.

He became a part of the school paper of Karakura High school, usually wrote essays and poems, as what people expect from a genius, it was deep and meaningful. Most students, teachers were awe at his writings. He obtains the title as a “Literary Genius”.

A graduate of Karakura High school with lots of honors and medals, from academics and awards from the contest he participated, despite that, he’s always got the top spot of the students all over Tokyo and whole Japan. And he’s recently took the course of Law on an elite university around Karakura town.

Kato Shigeaki is a 21 year old law student with a brown Mohawk hairstyle, who is regularly wearing an eyeglass that made him look like a nerd. He was handsome and mature physically. He smiles and laughs often.

He’s always carrying with his law book, camera and notes wherever he went through.

He was kind of anti-social person, he find it hard to gain friends because of his serious looks and his difference over the people around him. People think that he’s a superior because of his high intelligence. The people are awkwardly or scared to befriending him.

Many people find him very serious and mature because of his physical appearance, they judge him from his looks.

For some of his friends, he’s a ‘nice to be with’ person, he’s there for times of problems, he’s always around when someone needs him to be a tutor.

He is really sensitive sometimes, he easily get hurt when someone said something negative, insults or thoughts about him.
